Exploring the World

One country at a time

Home

We have both been travelling the world, together and separately, since the early 1990’s.

Our first holiday together was in 1988 when we drove to Brisbane to take part in the Bicentennial World Expo. We spent three huge days exploring as many of the 37 pavilions as we could. It filled both of us with a whole wide world of possibilities and wanderlust that we have spent the past thirty years trying to satisfy.

Between us we have spent time exploring England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Russia, Poland, Hungary, Czeck Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, the Netherlands, Liechtenstein, Belgium, France, Spain, Monaco, Italy, Sicily, Corfu, Greece, Macedonia, Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Dubai, Singapore, the US and Hawaii, Canada, New Zealand, China, Hongkong, Fiji, Bali, Vanuatu, Vietnam, New Caledonia, Japan, Cuba andMexico.

Over the years we have slept in Youth Hostels, YMCA’s, a Kombi van, tents, caravans, trains, buses, airport lounges, lounge room floors, cabins, ferries, a faluca, a cruise ship, junk boats, various B&B’s, 2, 3, 4 and 5 star hotels, boutique resorts, ryokans and casa particulars.

This blog aims to provide information, tips and travelling advice about some of our more recent adventures.
